Right on Target

When a group of business owners and special interests opposed the construction of a CPI Developers-backed Target store at a former landfill, we convinced the community that “Target is good for San Rafael.” Using a full-court press of mailings, newspaper ads, social media, presentations and more, AMF’s public relations pushed the message that the store provided needed jobs, tax revenue and support for local education.


The effort was right on target. Both the public and city government overwhelmingly approved the store, which has been one of Target’s top U.S. producers since opening in 2013, and a boon for the local economy and schools.
